Purpose:

The Reading Interventionist will carry out the mission of Eastbrook Academy by supporting the academic improvement of students who need support in foundational literacy skills. This position employs student data in order to make key decisions around student’s needs and suggested services. The Reading Interventionist will be the key leader in communicating with students, teachers, school leaders, and families about reading intervention services and progress.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Determine, teach, and coordinate academic Tier 2 (small group) & 3 (one on one) intervention for target students in grades 5th through 8th grade in reading.
• Facilitate the management and interpretation of data necessary to develop, implement, and evaluate academic Tier 1, 2 & 3 interventions.
• Assist in optimizing the use of Title One services to eligible students.
• Collaborate with Eastbrook Academy’s Intervention Team to improve practices
• Meet and plan with teachers for push-in models of intervention
• Monitor Academic Improvement Plans.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 24 per week
